THE WORK

Do you like to do the exact same thing every day? Neither do we! Every day is different. Reporting to the CFO, our Accounting Generalist will thrive on the day-to-day tasks along with developing and executing on processes and systems. Duties will include, but are never limited to:

• Full cycle accounting for affiliate company(s) including month end reconciliation and preparation of financial statements
• Assist with preparing annual budget
• Reconciling G/L accounts
• Full cycle Canadian non-union payroll
• Payroll remittances for all Canadian companies (WSIB, EHT, Source deductions)
• RRSP calculation and submissions
• Backup for Canadian union and US payroll
• Special projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

 

THE SKILLS

• Put in the time: 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role. 

• Got 99 problems, but technology ain’t one (MS Office applications don’t scare you off).

• Experience getting bang for our buck from an ERP.

• Experience with implementing improvements within multiple entity financial reporting environment.

• Unlimited bookkeeping skills to personally attack hold co’s, op co’s and related companies. 

• Ability to be agile and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail.

• Analytical skills with some research and development knowledge.

• Master Communicator (excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills).
