Originally constructed in 1961, Northview High School had completed two expansion projects, including additions in 1971 and 1998. Following a facility assessment in 2011, the architect determined that the best solution would be to demolish the middle third of the 270,000 square foot building and construct a new 100,000 square foot addition. The facility assessment also identified the need to replace the high school’s natatorium and make improvements to the existing athletic facilities.
The aging swimming pool was replaced with a new multi-functional aquatic center, perfect for lap swimming, swim meets, water polo games, diving activities and more.
Acapulco Pools completed the construction of the new and improved Northview Natatorium, featuring a 13-lane lap pool fully equipped with competition necessities including diving boards.
