Russell Aquatics Swim School has been providing swimming lessons to children in the Markham area for over a decade. The company began by offering mobile swimming lessons (personal lessons in backyard pools), as interest increased the Russell Aquatics Swim School began renting from hotel pools to teach more children and provide a variety of programs.
Today, Russell Aquatics Swim School teaches approximately 1,000 kids per week. In order to accommodate the business growth, the Russell Aquatics team began working on developing a design for a facility specifically for teaching swimming lessons. In 2017, Acapulco Pools joined the team of experts designing and building the Boxgrave Markham East Location. As the facilities swimming pool contractor, Acapulco Pools completed the construction of the indoor, concrete swimming pool and the installation of mechanical equipment.
In March 2018, Russell Aquatics Swim School celebrated the Grand Opening of their brand new Boxgrove Markham East location. The teaching pool features wide walk-in steps to accommodate beginner lessons, along with several teachable areas to accommodate various class levels.
As a family run swim school, it was important to the Russel Aquatic team that their clients entered an environment that felt safe. To enhance safety in the pool, a state-of-the-art Ultra Violet (UV) Sanitation System was included in the design. The UV water purification system is the most effective method for disinfecting bacteria from water, making it safer for young swimmers learning to swim.
