The Sheridan County YMCA’s two existing swimming pools were constructed in 1965 and 1985. In 2015, an aquatic facility audit identified items that were substandard in the pools, highlighted items that didn’t meet industry swimming pool design standards, and inspected pool equipment that wasn’t operating as designed.

Acapulco Pools was selected to build their new indoor aquatic centre that serves both the youngest swimmers through zero depth entry and shallow features, teen swimmers with a water slide that drops into the water, a climbing wall and other exciting features, and senior swimmers with an infinity pool to create resistance exercises without stress to their joints.
